Scott K. Tippett, a partner with Hagan Barrett, PLLC, will present “Tax Savings Structures and Strategies” during a full-day seminar, “Business Acquisition from Start to Finish,” offered by the National Business Institute as continuing legal education for professionals on December 16 at the Holiday Inn Raleigh North-Midtown.

Tippett, who specializes in complex tax, business, and civil litigation, will address a range of issues including tax-efficient structures, taxable, tax-free, and tax-deferred transactions, mitigating tax liability and tax evasion vs. tax avoidance.

“In my extensive experience advising those who are considering business acquisitions, I have found that there are many misconceptions regarding how to structure a company to minimize tax liability. My objective for this seminar is to help professionals, including other attorneys, accountants, and business advisors, create the optimal structure for their clients based on the ever-changing and often confusing tax laws,” said Tippett.
